Vanilla Porter Available Now

Vanilla Porter is now available on draft and in cans to-go in both of our taprooms. You can also find it in stores and bars all around Ohio!

Our winter seasonal American Porter is made with whole Madagascar Vanilla Beans and a variety of specialty malts (like Imported British Pale Chocolate malt! Mmmm…). This beer has a smooth roasted flavor finishing dry with hints of chocolate and hoppy bitterness. It’s the perfect craft beer for your next holiday gathering with friends and family. 42 IBU, 6% ABV.

Rock on the Range Four String Brewing Co.

Five spots to rock during Rock on the Range

Thanks to Columbus Alive for including our 6th Ave Taproom as a spot to stop this weekend during Rock on the Range!

“Rock on the Range rolls into Mapfre Stadium this weekend for three days packed with rock and heavy metal. If you’re in town for the festival — or just celebrating in spirit — hit up these five rock-themed spots for music, food and drinks.

Four String Brewing Taproom

Prior to opening Four String Brewing, owner Dan Cochran was known for lending his bass skills to Ohio bands like Big Back Forty and Colin Gawel & the Lonely Bones. His brewing ventures continue down the music trail, and his Grandview taproom is a rocking spot to sample rock ’n’ roll-themed beers like the Brass Knuckle pale ale, the Switchblade IPA or the Suncaster summer wheat.”

Four String beer now available at the Schott!

The next time you head to a game at the Schottenstein Center, keep your eyes open for Four String Brewing Co. Beer and wine will be available at basketball and hockey games at the Schott, and they’re focusing on local options, which includes Four String Brass Knuckle Pale Ale.

“I felt like we finally made it,” said Dan Cochran, the owner of Four String Brewing Company. “It’s a really big deal they’re allowing beer at the Shoe and it’s exciting their using local companies.”

Cochran said having his beer sold at Buckeye games introduces his company to lots of people.

Ohio State said it wanted to include local drink options, especially from people with ties to the university.

“I never imagined it,” Cochran said. “I’m actually an alumnus of OSU. I graduated in the Class of ’95 and to have our beer at the Schott and the Shoe is really exciting.”
